Spencer Burnham, DMD Dentist in Medford, OR
I love dentistry because it allows me to do something meaningful and rewarding as a career. I enjoy helping people get out of pain, restoring confidence in their smiles, and the opportunity to build long term relationship with the patients who trust me with their care. For me, dentistry is about helping people. This was recognized by my clinical faculty in dental school when I was given the Patient Centered Care Award at graduation.
Education and Continuing Education
I studied Business and Hospitality Management at BYU-Hawaii and graduated with a double major in 2004. In 2010, after six years in various sales capacities, I enrolled at the University of Utah as a Biology major in preparation for Dental School. I was admitted to Roseman University of Health Sciences in 2012 and graduated with a Doctorate of Dental Medicine in 2016.
One of the reasons I was drawn to dentistry is because the profession demands a lifetime of learning. I am a member of the Southern Oregon Dental Society, the Oregon Dental Association, the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry and the Academy of LDS Dentists. I look forward to continuing my professional development through these associations.
Family Life
I grew up in Vernon, British Columbia, Canada, a small agricultural town about four hours east of Vancouver. I fell in love with Medford when looking for a place to settle in the Northwest because it reminds me of home, but with a better winter. In my spare time I enjoy water-skiing, camping, playing guitar and spending time with my wife and three children. I am excited to experience the great fishing, rafting and other activities the Rogue Valley has to offer.
